Lasting 450 years or more, plastic bottles will outlive us all. By 2050, plastics are predicted to drive the bulk of demand for fossil fuels if we continue on our current trajectory. Our goal is to create bulk distribution infrastructure for liquid and cream products that is as reliable as single-use plastic bottles, preventing plastics from being made in the first place. Scaled up, this could reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with the consumer packaged goods (CPG) supply chain, helping mitigate the impacts of climate change.
We’re here to prove that distributing daily-use products does not have to contribute to environmental injustices such as higher cancer rates in frontline communities who live near where plastic is made in Louisiana. We don’t have to choose between products we need and the health of people and the planet — we can have both.
The current narrative surrounding sustainability and consumption puts the responsibility on consumers to figure out the difference between greenwashing and true sustainability and change their shopping habits accordingly. In our current system, that means we are expected to pay more for sustainable products and go out of our way to find them.
